Dear Friends
This season's Challenge Trophy is dedicated to the loving memory of Alan Power of Hibernians Football Club, who passed away while playing The Beautiful Game last year. Alan Power lived a happy and friutful live from 1971-2008. We pray that God will embrace him and feed him honey. We pray that God and his Angels will shine upon his family. Anyone who would like to post a Tribute can do so at http://www.gaeliclions.com/club/alantributes.php |
The inaugural Challenge Trophy aka Champions League was launched in 2006 by it's Founder Mr Yeoh Tze Ming and has since showcased only Singapore's finest and most well organised amatuer football teams, with the right attitude, from various leagues challenging for the honour Best Of The Best. The competitiveness and entertainment are well exhibited by the diverse nations and societies the teams represent. Challenge Trophy 2006 Champion was British Club FC, Challenge Trophy 2007 Champion was German All Stars FC and Challenge Trophy 2009 was Singapore Vikings FC.
The job of organising Challenge Trophy 2009 has been handed to me which I accepted enthusiastically for its prestige. I am proud to announce the teams:
